The bunkhouse is a converted barn with its own beautiful gardens
and ample parking. The conversion is simple and rustic making
full use of natural materials and green technology - and a bit
unconventional!
Kitchen/Dining
The bunkhouse has a large kitchen/dining area equipped with a
large fridge a LPG range style cooker and one large six ring hob.
There is a supply of plates, mugs, cutlery and basic cooking utensils,
including several large catering size pans. You are advised to
bring with you any special kitchen equipment you require. There
are trestle tables and benches in the dining area to enjoy meals
together. The kitchen/dining area also has a wonderful ceramic
stove to keep you warm and cosy and help dry off any wet clothes.
Please bring tea towels and towels, eco friendly cleaning materials
will be provided, however, you are welcome to bring your own.
For indoors do bring a comfy pair of shoes or slippers.
Bedrooms
Sleeping Accommodation is in three dormitory style areas (one
with 6 beds, one with 4 beds, one with 3 beds). All beds are supplied
with a bed sheet, pillow and blanket. However you will need to
bring additional bedding such as sleeping bag or duvet.
Group Space
Downstairs there is a large sitting area to relax in with sofas
and bean bags. There is also a small and interesting library adjacent
to the sitting area.
There are three eco-showers and two lo-flush toilets within the
bunkhouse. There are also three compost loos, one adjacent to
the bunkhouse and two in the campsite, just a short walk from
the bunkhouse. The shower and toilets are shared facilities. However
the Bunkhouse is sole occupany.
The garden has a covered cob bench seating area and grass terracing
around a fire pit. There is a wood fired hot tub situated in the
garden and a rang of perennial vegetables, fruit and herbs growing
in it, which you are welcome to harvest.
There is ample parking in a dedicated car park, which is situated
near the camping area.
Wireless broadband access is available on the farm, please bring
your own Wi-Fi enabled laptop or pocket pc to access.
Please note the bunkhouse has steps and stairs
which may present difficulties for those with mobility problems.
