The Mushroom Shed is a short walk across the farm yard from the Bunkhouse.

The Mushroom Shed has a lovely green oak frame at the front and the rest of the building is built from sustainable panels and insulated with Warmcel, recycled newspaper cellulose fibre.

The building has a living roof which has been planted with Sedums which can provide important microclimates for insects, bird life and other even rare species. They also protect and shade the roof from harmful UV light, which slows down erosion and increases the life of the roof. Green roofs benefit the environment not only as a carbon sink, but actively encouraging the wildlife and biodiversity.

At the front of the Mushroom Shed is a large covered veranda, windows at the back look out over the orchards.

Access to the orchard is possible at certain times of the year.
